Walter Petty for Chatham County Commissioner District 5 I am a native of Chatham Co. I’ve been married to Abby for 32 years and we have three sons Adam, Jacob, and Jonathan. I am currently living on the farm where I was born and raised. I grew up raising poultry, cattle, and hay crops, along with tobacco. It was in this environment that my parents instilled work ethics and integrity. I also learned to be a good steward of the land and livestock that has provided an income for our family ever since it was farmed by my Great Grandfather. I graduated from NC State in 1978 with a degree in agriculture. I began working for Bradshaw Supply Co., which was a family business located in Siler City, serving the ag industry. I continued in that business in sales and management until it was sold in 1993. After that, I started an equipment rep business which brought me into the generator industry.
